My next show and latest project Gatling (America) examines gun owners and their guns. Guns have become a very volatile issue. Very often they are approached from extreme view points, either from the political “Left” or political “Right”. But what is reality of someone who owns a gun, beyond the romanticized guns of TV and film protagonists, and the sensationalized violence of criminals in news?

Question Bridge: Black Males is on view until July 7th at the OMCA in Oakland, June 3rd at the Brooklyn Museum, and will be screening at the L.A. Film Festival in June. Join us this Saturday May 19th for Brooklyn Blueprint Roundtable at the Brooklyn Museum at 1pm. The Blueprint Roundtable is a public intergenerational conversation between young, emerging Black male leaders and Elder, established Black male leaders.
This is part of Question Bridge: Black males that examining how Black people are portrayed in the media. Saturday May 19th will be the #BrooklynBlueprint Roundtable at the Brooklyn Museum at 1pm. The exhibition will be on view at the Brooklyn Museum through June 3rd, the Oakland Museum of California through July 7th and the Utah MOCA through this Saturday.
